Garda Lake on bus 2019

SIA BRESCIA LAUNCHES “GARDA LAKE ON BUS” 2019 A network of services and bus connections to encourage tourism and sustainable mobility throughout the summer.

SIA – the Brescia company of the Arriva group that operates in the suburban and urban public transport sector – is also renewing the “Garda Lake on bus” initiative for summer 2019, which provides for a significant intensification of bus connections throughout the summer main lines of its network that affect the territory of Lake Garda.

Among the most relevant innovations, the construction of some connections on the Brescia side of the lake from Riva D / G to Peschiera D / G, passing through Limone, Gargnano, Toscolano, Gardone R., Salò, Desenzano and Sirmione; along the Sirmione peninsula the BUS-Shuttle service is active which ensures a convenient alternative to using the car to reach the renowned historic center and the Catullo caves.

The package of initiatives that make up the project also includes some upgrades of the services between Salò and Desenzano (coinciding with the rail services on the Milan – Venice route) and between Desenzano, Sirmione and Peschiera D / G with the possibility of reaching Garda (on the shore Veronese) thanks to a collaboration with the ATV Company of Verona. This year there is also the possibility of reaching the Gardaland amusement park and buying a discounted admission if using the Arriva SIA lines with the “Oneday” ticket, a daily tourist ticket that allows owners to take advantage of all the services of extra-urban transport in the province of Brescia for only € 7.00.

The project was designed to promote sustainable mobility and tourism in the Lake Garda area, given that the routes include stops near the main points of interest, including the Vittoriale degli Italiani, the Arena di Verona, the Monte Baldo and the Catullo Caves. The “Garda Lake on bus” mobility project also dedicates a proposal to lovers of fun and strong emotions, bringing connections from tourist facilities directly to Gardaland. The initiative also promotes tourism interested in culture, inviting visitors to visit the parks and cultural spaces of Garda Musei, such as the MuSa – Salò Museum and the Paper Museum.

The novelties of Arriva SIA for summer 2019 also appeal to lovers of music and entertainment: thanks to the “Come to the bus concert” initiative, to attend the shows scheduled during the Tener-a-mente Festival, which held at the Vittoriale Amphitheater in Gardone Riviera, until the end of July, it is possible to use a post-event bus service, by reservation, which allows spectators to return to Brescia.
