From Desenzano to Salò
Every half hour with R-link line 204
R-link 204 returns, running every half hour from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day on the route between Desenzano and Salò, with intermediate stops at Lonato Lido, Lido di Padenghe, Moniga, Manerba (Crociale locality) and Raffa di Puegnago.
Getting on a train in Milan and finding yourself in Salò has never been easier thanks to connecting schedules at the Desenzano station. A visit to the town of Salò, and then you can continue in the direction of Gargnano to discover Alto Garda!
From Salò to Gargnano
Every half hour with the R-Link 202 line.
R-link 202 provides connections between Brescia and the towns along the Gardesana Riviera, to Salò, Gardone Riviera, Maderno, and Gargnano, with some runs to Limone and Riva del Garda.
Exploring the picturesque towns along the lake’s shoreline is easy with frequent connections: Gardone with the Vittoriale, Bogliaco or Villa di Gargnano with its small harbor surrounded by citrus trees are a must-see destination!
The line offers connections every 30′ on weekdays and every 60′ on holidays. The service is reinforced daily by line LN027 between Desenzano, Salò, Gargnano, and Riva del Garda.
From Gargnano to Riva del Garda
LN027
Line LN027 runs along the cliffside coastal road from Salò to Riva del Garda, starting from the Desenzano train station and touching beaches frequented by kyte-surfers and dominated by lemon groves. Speaking of lemons, on the line you will find the picturesque town of Limone, a historic tourist destination and departure point for ferries to the Verona shore.
For all those who love views, descend to Reamol and you’ll find yourself right at the beginning of the Garda bike path, suspended from the cliff face! In Limone you can rent bicycles for excursions within everyone’s reach.
The ride ends in Trentino, in Riva del Garda!
From Gargnano to Limone and the plateau of Tremosine
LN012
The small buses of line LN012 take you to discover the high Gardesan mountains, among the many hamlets in the municipality of Tremosine.
The town is famous for the Forra road, a narrow driveway that runs through the heart of a gorge carved by the Brasa stream, which has also become a film set.
Once you reach the summit, lush green meadows, the scent of hay, and many delicacies await you in the many agritourisms.

On weekends, Lake Garda is often affected by heavy vehicular traffic. Discovering the beauty of this area by public transportation means effectively contributing to its preservation.
If your journey involves critical connections, such as with high-speed or international trains, we recommend that you allow at least a 30′-45′ buffer in order to avoid possible disruptions to your travel plan.
Line LN007 remains in service for the summer period as well, on the Salò-Portese-San Felice-Manerba-Moniga-Padenghe route.
If you stay at the numerous campsites in Moniga or the Gulf of Manerba and San Felice, you won’t need to move your camper: via our runs you can easily reach Salò, Upper Garda, Desenzano and Brescia.
For excursion lovers from the stop in Manerba (via Risorgimento) it will be possible, through the village of Montinelle, to reach the fortress of Manerba, a high promontory with Roman ruins that offers a fascinating view of the lake.
The Vittoriale degli Italiani is a complex of buildings, streets, squares, an open-air theater, gardens, and waterways erected from 1921, in Gardone Riviera on the shores of Lake Garda by Gabriele d’Annunzio with the help of architect Gian Carlo Maroni, in memory of the poet-soldier’s “inimitable life” and the exploits of the Italians during World War I.
Line LN005 takes you right in front of the entrance to the monumental complex. Alternatively, with a short walk, R-link202 is available.
Immerse yourself in the historic center of Brescia via LN009 and R-link 202: the city’s subway is included in your integrated ticket! Experience the different atmospheres: the medieval heart of Via San Faustino, the Carmine and the Castle, the metaphysical and rationalist atmospheres of Piazza Vittoria or a dip into ancient Rome with the Capitolium and the Museum of Santa Giulia!
The LN009 line offers hourly departures from Padenghe, the LN007 and LN006 buses continue as LN009 to Brescia or make connections in Padenghe. From Gargnano and Salò, on the other hand, find the R-link 202 line every half hour (every hour on holidays).
Get off line LN011 at the Tignale (panorama) stop and you will find yourself just a step away from the panoramic terrace overlooking the lake, from which to admire the panorama of upper Garda.
Even higher, with a walk, you can reach the sanctuary of Montecastello clinging to a rocky outcrop. If you fall in love with the place no problem, Tignale offers numerous hotels and residences to stay a few more days!
Route LN015 takes you, with two pairs of daily runs Monday through Saturday, to Magasa, the smallest village in the province of Brescia.
From this tiny hamlet you can take a short hike to Cima Rest, where you can admire traditional thatched-roof barns and relax among lush green meadows.
